A minor setback...and a bright side!

Hi everybody!I just wanted to check in and let you know what's up with the book. I had a minor setback- I had to stop working on it for a couple of months due to a solo show at Beinart gallery that I had committed to quite a while back. But the show ships out at the end of this month, at which time I can get right back to the book....which is SUPER CLOSE!!!! This is the last solo show I have to do this year. I even cancelled my normal solo show in the Fall at Copro gallery so I could make sure to have my schedule clear to finish everything for Dy5topia. 

Now for the bright side- I will have 13 new paintings to include in the book and it also opened up a new 'type' of Dy5topia being that I never knew existed: the "bureaucrats" that help run things behind the scenes at the behest of the Interlopers! 

I have been trying to use all of these setbacks to make the book even better and at this point there is going to be a TON more artwork in the book than I had originally intended, which is a great thing. I would like to thank you once again for being so patient with me. I will make sure this book truly kicks ass and that you guys get plenty of extras for being so cool about everything. I am gong to make sure that everybody walks away happy from this project. I am so grateful that you have stuck by me!!!

I'll check back soon with another update once I get past this show. In the mean time, here are some of "The Administrators" that will be in the book (these are works in progress. Hi everybody-

Hope you are having a great new year! 2019 is going to be the best year of my life....because this is the year the book gets finished!

I had hoped to have it finished by Jan 1st but I couldn't do it. While I have been working on gathering and photographing imagery and finishing new paintings for the book since the last update, there has been one thing after another that has been keeping me at a snails pace. But that has begun to change.

I just spent a marathon day today finalizing images for the book and I am down to just a couple that need to be re photographed and only a couple more that need to be finished being painted.

One other problem I have been having is FULLY visualizing the look of the book and really knowing for certain how I wanted to present the material. But on New Years Eve it all came to me in a flash, and it is going to look SOOOO COOL! I only hope that the book company can add the new details I have envisioned (there is specifically one special detail that I have never seen in a modern book but used to be used for old reference books all the time). If we can pull it off it is going to be that much more special!

So apologies again for taking so long but this thing is a lot closer than the last time I updated. Don't give up on me yet! It's so close now I can taste it!

I'll update again soon with more news and as soon and get you some in progress imagery as soon as possible.
